Together we are forming the Avila family. Most of our employees are locals, so they also have the best tips for you to explore the island. The majority has been a member of our family for many years. We already explained that we are centrally located at the edge of one of the trendiest areas on Curacao: Pietermaai. Still, we do like to highlight our neighborhood a bit more. Pietermaai is a mix between Soho and the Meatpacking District in New York. It offers lots to do, see and taste. Cozy bars and restaurants, ideal to bar hop by foot, plenty of colorful buildings, and filled with history. Let this authentic yet vibrant district surprise you. The Avila Beach Hotel is a perfect place to relax. It is quiet and peaceful, with no crowded beaches, lots of space, and various lounge areas. We believe this is the reason many couples (without kids or they take a break from their kids) choose our hotel (Oceanfront Blues is an adults-only wing). Even when we are fully booked (except during the Christmas Holiday), you will feel like you are in a peaceful sanctuary.

The hotel has an authentic soul, which begins at our main entrance; the hotel's original building is called The Belle Alliance; named after “Auberge de la Belle Alliance”, the alliance against Napoleon. It later served as the country residence of the English Governors, and nowadays, it is the key to the heart of our hotel; our lobby. We also have the Octagon Museum onsite.
