Besides sun, sand and sea, the island offers lots of activities on land, underwater, above water but also museums and other cultural activities. Furthermore, there are a ton of restaurants and bars spread over the island that look forward to welcoming you. Taxis are rather expensive (and they do not have electronic meters) and public transport is not as timely nor structured as you are probably used to in your home country. There are no biking lanes, so going around by bike is not the safest choice. If you therefore wish to explore the island, it is not a luxury to rent a car on Curacao. It’s the easiest way to get around in Curacao.
