Oldest hotel in Curaçao celebrates diamond anniversary on February 1:
Avila Beach Hotel celebrates its 75th anniversary with festivities and solidarity
WILLEMSTAD – The Avila Beach Hotel, the oldest operational hotel in Curaçao, proudly celebrates its 75th anniversary with a year full of special festivities and involvement in the local community, in collaboration with local partners, artists and artisans. The hotel, which continually strives to foster a youthful spirit through innovation, sustainable investments, and extensive accommodation renovations, kicks off the celebrations on Thursday, February 1 and all activities will be identified by a specially designed anniversary logo.
Festive kick-off on February 1, 2024
On Thursday, February 1, the anniversary year will be heralded with a musical breakfast, accompanied by the talented Guitar Man from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Guests will be treated to festive breakfast dishes and a special treat from The Cooking Gemini in their room. During lunch, guests can enjoy a free welcome drink and live music from Trio Ekis from 12:00 to 15:00. In the evening there will be live music in Blues Restaurant by Tico Roberto & Friends and Benjisax will be playing on the beach at The Pen Restaurant & Terrace, including a free welcome drink for dinner guests.
Birthday treats
To make this anniversary extra special, people who will also turn 75 on February 1, 2024 can come by to receive a gift voucher for a free breakfast. The hotel will distribute 75 cakes to 75 local organizations and charities, donate 750 meals to the Daily Meal plan and donate 75 food parcels to Stichting Nieuw Nederland, which will be distributed by neighborhood legend Rensley Victoria.
Further into the anniversary year
Later this year a major party for partners and friends of the hotel will be organized on an important date for the hotel. Throughout the year, Avila Beach Hotel will continue the celebration by providing donations to various organizations and foundations, as well as through special promotions through social media. An announcement will soon be launched to submit old photos with dates and special memories, with the chance to win prizes.
Appreciation for employees
The hotel also puts its employees in the spotlight with a special surprise on this anniversary day. An epic event to honor and appreciate the staff is planned for later in the year. The Avila Beach Hotel looks forward to a year of festivities, engagement and memories in honor of this 75-year milestone and is grateful that it can be celebrated in good financial health and with so many loving and valuable connections with both local and international partners and hotel guests.
