WILLEMSTAD – The oldest operating hotel on Curacao will be renamed. The hotel recently was sold to the Vogels family and completely renovated its beach and suites over the last few months. The Avila Hotel decided to change its name due to the extensive upgrade of the beach again, to the widely familiar Avila Beach Hotel. Ten years ago, the hotel changed the name Avila Beach Hotel to Avila Hotel, but it was still popularly known as Avila Beach among locals and its repeat guests. The renovated hotel sets the hotel apart from other hotels with its beach and therefore the word 'Beach' is a must have in its hotel name. With the name change comes a new logo and this was greatly presented today to invitees. After the announcement and revealing, the new beach was christened with a special edition of the famous Happy Hour at Avila's Schooner Bar.
The name change is part of the previously launched quality improvement of which the beach extension took a great part. The Avila Beach Hotel will retain their identity but continue to work on improvement. The Avila Beach Hotel also offers in the future the unique experience and personalized service in a contemporary yet stylish setting. "We may be the oldest operating hotel in Curacao, but we will remain innovative. We offer a nice mix of a classic atmosphere combined with modern comfort. The new logo is a reflection of it.", says Director of Commerce Robbin Vogels.
The new logo is already visible at the entrance of the Avila Beach Hotel. During the year, the new logo will also be introduced on all locations and marketing communication tools, including the new website.
